Relativistic Radiative Transfer for Spherical Flows
We present a new complete set of Lagrangian relativistic hydrodynamical equations describing the transfer of energy and momentum between a standard fluid and a radiation fluid in a general non-stationary spherical flow. The new set of equations has been derived for a particular application to the study of the cosmological Quark–Hadron transition but can also be used in other contexts.

متن کاملModelling radiative heat transfer in packed beds
A comprehensive approach for modelling dependent radiative heat transfer in beds of large (geometric range) spherical particles is presented. Such a system of large spheres lies in the dependent range even for large porosities. We show that the dependent properties for a bed of opaque spheres can be obtained from their independent properties by scaling the optical thickness while leaving the al...
متن کاملA 3D radiative transfer framework: V. Homologous Flows
Context. Observations and theoretical calculations have shown the importance of non-spherically symmetric structures in supernovae. Thus, the interpretation of observed supernova spectra requires the ability to solve the transfer equation in 3-D moving atmospheres. Aims. We present an implementation of the solution of the radiative transfer equation in 3-D homologously expanding atmospheres in ...
متن کاملmocassin: 3D photoionisation and dust radiative transfer modelling of PNe
We present the first 3D Monte Carlo photoionisation code to include a fully self-consistent treatment of dust radiative transfer (RT) within the photoionised region. This is the latest development of the recently published pure photoionisation code mocassin (Ercolano et al., 2003a) and it is currently undergoing several benchmarking tests. The preliminary results of these tests are presented in...
